Hi there!
I am a Brooklyn-based producer and editor with a passion for socially-conscious and human-centered stories that educate, inspire, and make a difference. My experience as a child of Vietnamese refugees and my work in public health have motivated me to highlight underrepresented voices, raise awareness about health and social issues, and promote positive change through nonfiction storytelling.
I can produce, direct, write, interview, shoot, and edit — I love the filmmaking process from start to finish! Bridging over a decade of experience across documentary film, branded video content, social impact communications, and public health, I have worked on a variety of topic areas including but not limited to: women’s health and reproductive rights, autism, animal rights, cancers of all kinds (such as lung, breast, cervical, brain, etc.), chronic illnesses like diabetes, vaccinations, addiction, and natural disasters.
I’ve worked with clients ranging from large healthcare companies such as Sanofi, Pfizer, Biogen, and Seagen to nonprofit organizations such as the Rockefeller Foundation. The latest feature documentary film I’ve worked on called MILES TO GO BEFORE SHE SLEEPS, about a tenacious Chinese animal activist, is currently on the film festival circuit and was recently awarded Best Feature Documentary at the Big Apple Film Festival.
In addition to my graduate certificate in documentary filmmaking from The Documentary Center at George Washington University (GW), I have a Master’s degree from the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health in communications and marketing and a Bachelor’s degree from the UC Berkeley School of Public Health.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find me chasing my next travel adventure, capturing aerial footage with my drone, and cuddling my dog Sonny.
