Role: Associate Producer

This observational, character-driven documentary follows an idealistic Chinese schoolteacher turned animal rescuer who lays her life on the line to expose a nationwide dog theft ring that sends thousands of stolen pets to slaughterhouses. Meanwhile, activists pressure officials to enact China’s first animal protection law.

Funded by Women Make Movies and Doha Film Institute, MILES TO GO BEFORE SHE SLEEPS is currently on the film festival circuit, officially selected for 6+ film festivals and recently awarded Best Feature Documentary Film from the Big Apple Film Festival in NYC.
